OBJECTively – Contemporary Bulgarian Object Poster
3–28 March 2025
Exhibition opening: 3 March 2025, 7:00 pm
Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin
OBJECTively is an exhibition dedicated to the contemporary Bulgarian object poster. It showcases 32 posters by the Bulgarian artists Georgi Iankov, Dimitar Traychev, Lyuba Tomova, Milena Abanos, Nenko Atanasov, Nikolay Mladenov, Radoslava Boor and Strahil Dimitrov – Radin.
The processes and techniques in creating object posters are numerous and various as well as subject only to the impact of concept. There are no restrictions, no recipes as to methods and technologies. This type of poster has long become an ambassador of personal authorship ideas and shaken off technical, customisation and physical limitations. The object poster is devoid of seasonal players and that makes it timeless. Regardless of the level of its individualness, it unites through themes, causes and provocations. Form and format are not the norm. They only make it easier to organise one collection, which is titled OBJECTively, and bring together artists and viewers who have immersed themselves in the depth of the object poster messages.
