Students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art in Sofia and the Burgas Branch created logos related to the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

At the invitation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art created projects for logo related to the 155th anniversary of the BAS. After holding successfully a competition / educational assignment among the 4th-year students from the Department of Poster and Visual Communication at the National Academy of Art – Sofia and the Burgas Branch, one logo was chosen to mark the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
 
Upon assessment of 23 educational proposals created under the guidance of Prof. Nikolay Mladenov, PhD, Prof. Christina Borisova, PhD, Assoc. Prof.  Nenko Atanasov, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Pavlov, PhD, and Asst. Prof. Zhivka Raykova, the BAS Management determined laureates, as follows:
 
Merelin Alexova, National Academy of Art – Sofia
1st place and realisation (cash prize to the amount of BGN 500)
 
Dimitrina Paskova, National Academy of Art – Burgas Branch 
II place (cash prize to the amount of BGN 300)
 
Teodora Bozhilova and Iliyana Takashmanova, National Academy of Art – Sofia 
III place (cash prize to the amount of BGN 200 for each of them)
 
The newly created logo will appear in the advertising materials, publications and editions of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2024. The productive collaboration between the two institutions will also continue with the opening of an exhibition which will present all the students' anniversary logo projects.
