Exhibition "Shakespeare and the Stage" at the English High School in Burgas

On March 5, 2021 in the English high school "Geo Milev" in Burgas opened the exhibition "Shakespeare and the stage" – undisplayed Bulgarian and foreign theater posters based on plays by William Shakespeare. In October 2020, the exhibition was presented at the „Atelier“ Gallery in the branch of the National Academy of Art in Burgas.
 
The collection is a joint project of the National Palace of Culture and Petko Churchuliev Art Gallery. The posters show different generations of Bulgarian and foreign authors and reveal over the years the development of one of the most creative themes in the genre – "Shakespeare's Poster".
 
The organizer of the event is the National Academy of Art – Burgas branch in partnership with the English High School in the city.
 
The exhibition was opened by Mrs. Jacqueline Neycheva – Director of the High School, Assoc. Prof. Dimo Kolibarov, Director of the Branch of the National Academy of Art in Burgas and Ch. Assistant Professor Dr. Nenko Atanasov – Lecturer in “Poster and Visual Communication” at the National Academy of Art.
 
The opening was attended by teachers, students and non-teaching staff of the school, and the event strengthens the cooperation between the two educational institutions.
